Graphite One, Inc. engages in the acquisition, exploration and evaluation of graphitic mineral properties. Its projects include Graphite Creek and Graphite One. The company was founded on March 16, 2006 and is headquartered in Vancouver, Canada.
Based on my research, the exciting mineral company, GRAPHITE ONE (GPHOF), is worthy of your consideration, and here are some major reasons why:
Graphite and several other battery minerals join rare earth materials as the only U.S. Government-listed Critical Minerals eligible for the comprehensive support offered by the Defense Production Act. Unlike Presidential Executive Orders, designations under the DPA, first passed during the Korean War, carry the full force of U.S. federal law.[58]
Graphite Creek, situated on the Seward Peninsula, about 60 kilometers north of Nome, is projected to be a long-life source of supply for advanced graphite materials.[59]
Graphite is the LARGEST SINGLE COMPONENT in volume terms than any other EV battery ingredient. According to CNBC, the average fully electric vehicle uses around 220 pounds of graphite.[60]
New applications for graphite – some of which are currently in test programs at Graphite One (GPHOF) – include fuel cells, nuclear engineering, fire suppressant graphite foam, industrial diamonds for next-gen semiconductor substrates, and a range of uses in 5G network cell towers.[61] Graphite will always be needed!
The demand for top-grade graphite will increase at exponential rates in the 2020s due to our increasing reliance on all sorts of battery-powered technology. The World Bank Group projects that graphite demand will grow by 494% by 2050.[62]
The threats of higher inflation, recession, and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine make it even more urgent that the U.S. end its dependence on foreign resources for industry, clean energy, and the rollout of EVs across the nation.
Senators Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) and Joe Manchin (D-WV), former and current chairs of the Senate Energy and Natural Resource Committee, sent a letter to President Biden urging him to make a DPA Title III designation to “invoke the Defense Production Act to accelerate domestic production of lithium-ion battery materials,” including graphite.[63]
“Designating the Graphite Creek project as a high-priority infrastructure project will send a strong signal that the U.S. intends to end the days of our 100% import-dependency for this increasingly critical mineral,” said Alaska Governor Mike Dunleavy.
The distinct natural morphological characteristics of Graphite One’s graphite mineralization — STAX® Advantage — make it an ideal fit for lithium-ion batteries and other high-tech uses.
Pursuing a three-prong strategy of mining graphite in Nome, Alaska, plus manufacturing in Washington state. The recycling facility represents the third and final link in Graphite One’s 100% U.S.-based graphite supply chain strategy. The recycling facility will be located next to the Washington manufacturing facility and engineered to accept used EV batteries for feedstock.
The Company is committed to early and ongoing community engagement, best practices in environmental stewardship, a strong health and safety culture, and delivering solutions for a better, more sustainable future for all.[64]
June 2022 => Drill results are showing consistent, near-surface, high-grade intercepts with numerous holes returning grades greater than 10% and up to 35.78% graphitic carbon.[65] (Investors: Note that drilling near the surface is much more economical than underground mines.)[66]
BOTTOM LINE:
I believe Graphite One (GPHOF) is positioned to become America’s first fully-integrated graphite supply chain.*
